Number of COVID-19 Cases Increase Locally

The number of local COVID-19 cases is increasing, according to the latest report from the Indiana State Department of Health.

Marshall County saw an increase of eight cases from Tuesday’s report for a cumulative total of 752.  Starke County’s case numbers increased by six to 170 and Pulaski County had four additional cases for a cumulative total of 75.


Patients are in varying stages of fighting the virus and recovering from the virus. 

The Indiana State Department of Health announced Wednesday that 740 additional people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 which brings the total number of Indiana residents known to have COVID-19 to 69,975. 

No local deaths were reported but the state saw an increase of 12 deaths from Tuesday’s report.  Deaths are reported based on when data is received the Indiana State Department of Health and occurred over multiple days.
