Oregon-Davis students’ next summer vacation will start a little later than originally planned. The school board officially adjusted the 2020-2021 school calendar Monday, to move the last day of school from May 20 to May 26, according to Superintendent Bill Bennett.
“We did some adjustment to our school calendar this year where we put most of the teacher professional development days at the beginning of the year, so that way, we were ready for both the virtual, as well as the in-person environments that we are currently offering our students,” he explains. This month’s first day of class was similarly moved from August 6 to August 11.
Bennett says the school board also updated O-D’s reopening plan with the latest mask mandates and Indiana State Department of Health recommendations on when students and staff may go back to school after having COVID.
