Pulaski County Council Approves Budget Transfer for Final Ambulance Garage Costs

The Pulaski County Council recently completed the final funding arrangements for the expansion of the Winamac ambulance garage. During last month’s regular meeting, council members agreed to transfer more than $4,800 from Emergency Medical Services’ Patient Care Supplies line item to Building Repair.

EMS Director Brandon DeLorenzo said that will cover the final fees for the engineer’s inspection, along with the cost of correcting a couple issues that came up during the project. “The concrete in front of the door that we added, for whatever reason, ended up being higher than the inside of the building, so we had to take out an eight-foot section,” DeLorenzo explained. They also had to hire garage door opener services to help. “And then while we had that out, also, in front of our old door where there was gravel, we found some drain tile that was collapsed. So we got all that fixed, re-poured the concrete.”

In other business, the Pulaski County Council reappointed Judy Heater to the Pulaski County Public Library Board.
