Pulaski County Commissioners to Get Election, CARES Act Updates Tonight

Pulaski County Commissioners: Mike McClure, Jerry Locke, Kenny Becker

The Pulaski County Commissioners will get updates on the 2020 election and CARES Act funding tonight. Clerk JoLynn Behny is expected to give updates on plans for November’s General Election, while County Council Member Kathi Thompson will discuss the CARES money.

The commissioners have already agreed to use $159,000 of that funding to buy a body scanner for the Sheriff’s Office. Last month, the council and commissioners decided to form a committee to figure out how to spend the rest of the county’s share.

In other business tonight, EMS Director Brandon DeLorenzo will discuss an ambulance repair, while Building Inspector Doug Hoover will discuss a replacement vehicle. The commissioners will also hear from Center of Workforce Innovations President and CEO Linda Woloshansky. They’ll also consider appointments to the Pulaski Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees and the Pulaski County Public Library Board.

Tonight’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 6:00 EDT at the Pulaski County Highway Garage in Winamac. It will also be streamed live on the Pulaski County, Indiana, Government Facebook page.
