Starke County Clerk Receives PPE for Election Sites

Starke County Clerk Bernadette Manual received a large shipment of personal protective equipment from the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office to ensure all poll workers and voters stay safe on Election Day.

Manuel said several gallons of hand sanitizer was brought into her office on Wednesday morning, along with several hundred pairs of gloves, several hundred masks, three boxes of N95 masks, some surface cleaner and mircofiber cloths, masking tape, and 14 sneeze guards.

Those items will be used at the seven Vote Center sites for the November 3 General Election.

Manuel commented that she has several pieces of PPE remaining from the June Primary Election as well.

Whatever is not used in the November General Election, she may give some of it to the Starke County Health Department as masks and gloves have a certain shelf life.
