Drivers are asked to avoid parts of Downtown LaPorte tomorrow, as Northwest Health – LaPorte hospital moves to its new location. INDOT says the right westbound lane of State Road 2 will be closed from Madison to Teegarden streets starting at 5:00 a.m. The hospital will be transferring its patients to the new facility.
INDOT says police will close off the side streets around the hospitals entirely. The restrictions are expected to be in place through early tomorrow afternoon.
