The Culver-Union Township Fire Department is hosting an open house on Monday, October 26 at 6 p.m. ET to officially welcome the new aerial fire truck to the fire department.
It will also be a time when all of the 166 individuals, families and organizations are recognized who helped donate funds toward this cause. The Rosenbauer 100-foot low-profile Viper Aerial Fire Truck was purchased at a total price of about $1,008,000. Over $240,000 was raised from community donors toward the purchase of the aerial fire truck.
The volunteer firefighters have gone through extensive training on how to operate the fire truck since its arrival in Culver.
The open house will be held at the Culver-Union Township Fire Station at 508 Lakeshore Drive.
