Thirty North Judson-area businesses have been awarded a total of $220,000 in COVID-19 relief funding. Town Council President John Rowe gave an update on the small business grant program during last week’s meeting.
“Everyone that applied got something if they were eligible,” he explained. “So there was one nonprofit that didn’t, but anybody else that applied, that filled out all the paperwork and were verified by the eight of us that were here all got some dollar amount.”
Funding for the grants came from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs’ COVID-19 Response Program, as well as North Judson’s revolving loan fund. Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe noted that $44,000 of the $220,000 will come from the town’s share. He says grant disbursements should be coming in the next few days.
