More COVID-19 relief could be coming to North Judson businesses. The town council voted Monday to pursue funding from the third round of the state’s COVID-19 Response Program. North Judson was awarded $250,000 during the second round to give grants to local businesses.
While this round is more competitive, North Judson has the advantage of being able to provide a local match out of its Revolving Loan Fund, adding points to its application. Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe discussed the possibility of applying for $200,000, while committing a five-percent, $10,000 match. While that isn’t exactly what that money is earmarked for, he felt it was in line with its overall goal.
Starke County and the City of Knox are also applying for this round of COVID-19 Response Program funding.
