A suspect has been arrested in a weekend shooting at Lucky Bar in La Porte.
City of La Porte Chief of Detectives Sgt. Jim Ferguson said Keith A. Davis was taken into custody by the Fugitive Apprehension Street Team in Michigan City.
Davis is charged with a Level 1 Felony charge of attempted murder, and a Level 3 Felony charge of battery with a deadly weapon.
The charges stem from a reported shooting early January 9 at the Lucky Bar at 1004 Lincolnway in La Porte. The victim was taken to an Indianapolis hospital where police said on Monday he was listed in stable condition.
In a press release from the City of La Porte, Sgt. Ferguson thanked Det. Sgt. Victor Aguilar, members of the La Porte City Detective Bureau, members of the F.A.S.T. team and the La Porte County Prosecutor’s Office in their efforts for a quick arrest.
This is an ongoing investigation and no other details are available.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
