Pulaski County is one of many local communities competing for the third phase of COVID-19 Response Program money through the state. Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer told the county commissioners last month that while there is a variety of things that money can be used for, county officials have opted for another round of small business relief.
“We’ve checked in with Human Services,” Origer said. “Food pantries are doing pretty well right now, plus Purdue Extension is rolling out a new supplemental program to that.”
Unlike some other communities, Pulaski County does not plan to commit to a local match. A public hearing on the county’s grant application will be held during tonight’s commissioners meeting.
Origer will also have an update from the county’s COVID-19 Incident Management Team, as well as an update on the courthouse renovation and justice center expansion projects. The commissioners are also expected to get a bridge report from United Consulting.
Tonight’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 6:00 EST in the Pulaski County Highway Garage. It will be streamed live on the Pulaski County, Indiana, Government Facebook page.
