The Starke County Commissioners will meet tonight where they will continue a discussion on the rezoning of about 350 acres around Bass Lake for the potential installation of solar panels. The commissioners tabled action last month as they wanted to review more documents concerning the requests.
Treasurer Lauri Venckus will hold a finance board meeting at the beginning of the meeting tonight followed by a contract discussion with Lisa Dan from the Starke County Economic Development Foundation.
EMS Director Travis Clary, Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler and Auditor Rachel Oesterreich will have reports for the commissioners.
The commissioners will also hold discussions on additional board appointments, and the closure of county buildings to the public due to COVID-19 restrictions. They will also consider a grievance hearing decision.
