Knox School Board members gave their approval this week to a retirement request put forth by a long-time educator at the school corporation.
Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart said Jeff Sullivan, who has been the high school’s Graphic Arts instructor, was with the school corporation for the past 47 years. Dr. Reichhart commented that he was the most experienced staff member and it will be a huge loss to the corporation as he heads into retirement.
Dr. Reichhart added that the board members all had wonderful things to say about Sullivan’s career at Knox and what he had to contribute to the corporation. They all wished him well.
Additionally, the board accepted a $200 donation from the Rabbit Coffee Company in Knox to the Knox Athletic Department, along with an annual gift in the amount of $3,994 from the Northern Indiana Community Foundation from the endowment fund which covers program presentations and speakers for the students and staff.
