Several sinkholes in the Knox Middle School parking lot will soon be repaired thanks to action taken by the Knox Community School Board Monday night.
Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart told WKVI News that was one of three additions to phase three of the current building project.
He noted 13 sinkholes in the Knox Middle School parking lot need to be repaired. The cost of $63,625 was approved by the board members. Indiana Earth will be doing the repair work.
Additionally, the auditorium floor in the high school is in desperate need of repair, according to Dr. Reichhart. The board approved a motion to replace the flooring at a cost of $45,616 by Foster Flooring.
Finally, Dr. Reichhart said five HVAC units will be replaced in the area of the Knox Elementary School that will house the new Early Childhood Center. D.A. Dodd will do the work at a cost of $118,625 as approved by the Knox Community School Board.
