Winamac Town Hall has officially reopened to the public. The town council approved the reopening Monday, at the recommendation of Council President Tom Murray.
“My personal opinion is I think that it’s come to a time where we should open up,” Murray said, “but they need to make it mandatory that you have to wear a mask, nobody goes behind the shields put up.”
Town officials said signage would be installed to remind residents of the COVID-19 precautions, along with a rope to restrict access to employee areas. The council already put town employees back on their regular work schedules in January.
