Knox Movies in the Park Return Next Wednesday with ‘Toy Story 4’

This year’s Knox Movies in the Park series kicks off next Wednesday, May 26. Mayor Dennis Estok says “Toy Story 4” will be shown at the Wythogan Park performance stage at 8:30 and then followed by a late Brendan Fraser movie.

“We will have the magic show ahead of that, and the magic show starts at 7:30, in case you’re interested in attending the magic show,” Estok told the city council last week.

An added attraction is also planned before next month’s movie, “The Croods: a New Age,” on June 23. “Actually, what we’re going to do before that is we’re going to have a karaoke night,” Estok said. “So Jam Karaoke is going to be there to lead it on for adults and for the kids, and that starts at six o’clock.”

Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs, as well as their own hand sanitizer. People are asked to stay at least six feet away from other groups, and residents should stay home if they’re sick.

At least one more movie is scheduled for July 28, but Estok told the city council last week that more could be added, if more sponsors are lined up. For more information, call the Mayor’s Office at 574-772-4553. Next week’s sponsors are Larry Mann and Cyndi Mann-Kidder.
