Winamac Council to Discuss Trash Pickup Fee, Review Financial Report Today

A proposal to charge Winamac residents five dollars a month for trash pickup will continue to be discussed by the town council this afternoon. Members have noted that Winamac is one of the few towns left that doesn’t charge for the service.

In other business today, Town Manager Brad Zellers will have an update on fireworks, and residents will have a chance to weigh in on the vacation of a right-of-way in the Georgann Subdivision officially known as Sherrill Court.

Today’s Winamac Town Council meetings start at 4:30 p.m. EDT in the Winamac Municipal Utilities Complex. Following the regular session, a special meeting will be held to go over the first quarter financial report with advisors from Baker Tilly.
