Movies may soon be coming to the Winamac Town Park. Park Board Member Renee Calabrese raised the idea during this month’s meeting.
She said having a company set up equipment for a movie night would cost about $375, but she estimated the town could purchase the equipment outright for $700. The cost of the license to show a movie is typically $250 and up, but she said a company is willing to lower that to $215 if the town commits to three movies. The rest of the board agreed it would be a good idea to explore the proposal further.
Meanwhile, the Knox Movies in the Park series continues this Wednesday with “The Croods: A New Age.” The movie starts at 8:30 p.m. at the Wythogan Park Performance stage, following Jam Karaoke from 6:00 to 8:00.
