The North Judson Town Council members acted to suspend North Judson Town Marshal Kelly Fisher for a period of five days.
North Judson Town Councilman James Young read from a document during the town council meeting Monday night where he said that “activity over the several few months” led to the decision that was not specified to the public.
Young noted that the action was accordance to Indiana Code 36-8-3-4 which involves neglect of duty, conduct injurious to the public peace or welfare, and violation of town rules.”
Young stated that the town council was acting as the safety board of the Town of North Judson in this action.
The North Judson Town Council approved the suspension with a unanimous vote.
The suspension will be in effect July 6 to July 11. Marshal Fisher will return to active duty on July 12.
