Starke Circuit Court welcomes Micah Cox as the newly appointed Starke Circuit Court Magistrate.
The appointment was recently made by Circuit Court Judge Kim Hall. Jeanene Calabrese, who served 14.5 years as Magistrate, will continue to serve as a Special/Senior Judge on cases in Starke Circuit Court as well as in other courts around the state.
Micah Cox has been serving as Starke County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for almost two years. Before coming to Starke County, Cox served as a St. Joseph County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney responsible for major felony jury trials and was assigned to the County Metro Homicide Unit.
Cox and his wife, Rachel, live in Starke County.
The new magistrate officially takes office today (July 1).
