Knox Mayor Dennis Estok is reminding residents that trash receptacles are to be wheeled to the curb on garbage collection days.
He said the trash receptacles are picked up by large arms on the garbage truck on collection day and that action is not easily done in several of the narrow alleys in the city.
Once the garbage is collected, residents are urged to move the trash receptacle from the curb.
While the mayor agrees it’s a bit of an inconvenience, the overall service has been good and quicker in the city.
