Knox residents are reminded that trash and recycling pickup has moved to the street. “Do not put your toters in the alley,” Clerk-Treasurer Cindy Mann-Kidder said during last week’s city council meeting. “They need to be on the curb on the street or they won’t get picked up.”
Mayor Dennis Estok also encouraged residents to put their trash and recycling out the night before, to make sure they get picked up. “I know we’ve had not a real smooth transaction,” he said. “It hasn’t been that bad as far as the trash pickup. And I think it’s a combination of a lot of things: new driver, new routes, plus I just don’t think the people have got all the information.”
