Knox Community School Board Ratifies Document of Agreement for Teacher Salaries

The Knox Community School Board members took action this week to ratify the Document of Agreement between the Knox Federation of Teachers and the board, according to Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart.

“That results in every eligible teacher receiving a $4,000 increase on their base salary retroactive back to the start of the school year,” explained Dr. Reichhart.

Dr. Reichhart stated that the board also approved other raises for staff members.

“The board also approved a minimum of $1.00 per hour increase for all Classified employees and that will be effective January 1of 2022.  The board also recommended a $4,000 increase for all salaried employees including administrators, with the exception of myself because that has to go through a different process.  These increases will be retroactive back to July 1, 2021.”

Dr. Reichhart said all action was taken with a unanimous vote.
