
There were 44 new cases of COVID-19 reported locally, including 25 cases in Marshall County, 12 cases in Starke County, and seven cases in Pulaski County, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. They are among 2,960 newly diagnosed residents in the state.
Two additional Hoosiers have died of COVID-19.
The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms continues to grow. Monday’s census on the Indiana Department of Health’s coronavirus dashboard was at 2,012 which is 248 more patients than one week ago.
In the updated school coronavirus dashboard, another 1,963 students in the state were diagnosed with COVID-19 from August 22 to November 26. There were 141 additional teacher COVID-19 cases from October 20 to November 26, and 180 additional staff cases in the state from September 20 to November 25.
Locally, there were less than five student COVID-19 cases at Knox Middle School, Knox Elementary School, Winamac High School, Culver Community Middle/High School, and Culver Community Elementary School.
There were less than five teacher cases at Eastern Pulaski Elementary School.
