The Pulaski County Council members reviewed the salary matrix for 2022 during their meeting Monday night.
Council President Ken Boswell said the matrix provides “up to” a three percent increase for all employees, but the council members will decide on that percentage at the next council meeting. A three percent increase was approved in the budget. However, any departments that saw pay adjustments during the 2021 calendar year would not receive that pay raise.
Additionally, Councilwoman Kathi Thompson suggested moving the separate part-time positions to departments. The Veterans Service Officer, coroner and animal control would be put into departments.
The council members agreed to take time to consider the changes and approve the salary matrix during their December meeting.
The salary matrix is at the top of the council’s “challenges to solve” in 2022.
