The Knox Community School Board members discussed the superintendent’s contract when they met last week.
The contract remains the same from this school year to the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years. The basic salary is $115,500 with the board’s contribution of health, vision and dental insurance costs, along with long-term disability insurance, term life insurance, tax sheltered annuity, and Social Security. The superintendent would receive 20 days of paid vacation per year, and 11 paid holidays.
There were no public comments given about the contract in a previously held public hearing. A link to view the proposed contract is available here.
The school board approved the contract with a unanimous vote.
Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart stated that he did not receive any financial benefits from the construction project nor did anyone else in the corporation.
