The Silver Alert concerning a missing Starke County man has been canceled.
Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith announced Friday, February 25 that officers were dispatched to an area in the 700 block of East Danker Street for a deceased person shortly after 8 a.m. CT Friday morning. The person was later identified as 66-year-old Victor Greene of North Judson.
The next of kin has been notified.
Greene was the subject of a Silver Alert issued late Thursday, February 24.
Smith indicated that no foul play is suspected, but the incident remains under investigation by the Knox City Police Department and the Starke County Coroner’s Office.
