Dumpster Days in the City of Knox have been scheduled for Saturday, April 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, May 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT.
Spring cleaning often produces unwanted large, bulky items that cannot be picked up on normal trash pick-up days. Those items can be taken to the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the back of Wythogan Park on those two days.
Residents will be required to provide a valid Driver’s License or I.D., and a current Knox utility bill when arriving to dispose of items.
The items that will NOT be accepted include regular trash, grass clippings/yard waste, tires, electronics, refrigerators or any items that contain Freon, paint, and household hazardous waste/medical waste.
This event is for residents only. Businesses and contractors will not be allowed to discard any material. Any questions may be directed to the Mayor’s Office at 574-772-4553.
