The Knox Community School Board members were updated on project finances during their meeting this week.
Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart noted that the information given was based on what funds will be left following the completion of the Vocational Wing construction project.
“We have $560,680 left from ESSER money that has not been allocated as of yet,” explained Dr. Reichhart. “In addition, we have $200,688 leftover from our building project yet that we will be using toward the Vocational Wing.”
Dr. Reichhart commented that the school board members have asked him to come up with a list of potential projects that remain on campus to continue to improve facilities.
Dr. Reichhart added, “We’ll be getting with teachers and administrators and developing a list of things that we still might want to knock off. One of the things possibly being the High School Auditorium where we might be able to put new seats, paint and lights in that room at the High School. I’ll be bringing back to the board a wish list in the future in terms of how we want to spend the money that has not been allocated.”
That list will be provided to the school board in a future meeting.
