Dumpster Days in Knox Starts Saturday

Knox Mayor Dennis Estok reminds residents that Dumpster Days in the City of Knox is this weekend.

Dumpster Days are Saturday, April 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, May 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT.

Spring cleaning often produces unwanted large, bulky items that cannot be picked up on normal trash pick-up days.  Those items can be taken to the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the back of Wythogan Park on those two days.

Residents will be required to provide a valid Driver’s License or I.D., and a current Knox utility bill when arriving to dispose of items.

The items that will NOT be accepted include regular trash, grass clippings/yard waste, tires, electronics, refrigerators or any items that contain Freon, paint, and household hazardous waste/medical waste.

This event is for Knox residents only.  Businesses and contractors will not be allowed to discard any material.  Any questions may be directed to the Mayor’s Office at 574-772-4553.
