
The Starke County community is welcome to assist the Starke County Public Library System in completing a survey to help officials there see to the needs of patrons who utilize services.
Library Director Kathleen Bowman said there is a paper survey available at the library branches and one that is accessible online. A link is available here.
The survey will help put together ideas in a strategic plan for the next five years.
Community members are also invited to focus group discussions facilitated by ReThinking Libraries Wednesday, May 18 for hour-long sessions at the Henry F. Schricker branch in Knox. Adults are invited to attend from 11 a.m. to noon; teachers, principals, and retired teachers may attend a session from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and business community/Chamber of Commerce members are invited from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. CT. Focus groups will continue May 19 for adult 4-H groups/homemakers from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and for parents, caregivers and homeschool parents from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. CT.
