The Knox Community School Board members approved several donations during their last board meeting.
Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart said several donations were sought to help with Teacher Appreciation and Staff Appreciation Week at Knox schools, and there were donations to Middle School baseball and other athletic programs at the corporation, along with a donation to the High School scholarship night. He said board member Kirk Bennett asked how it is made known about a certain need for donations for clubs or athletics.
“We really didn’t have a good response to that,” commented Dr. Reichhart. “We have been fortunate where people have just voluntarily given money to help our causes here at Knox. We’re going to be working on that. Maybe we can spot on our website so if people see that on our website or on Facebook they can click on a button and give a donation to Knox Community Schools or one of the athletic teams if they so choose.”
