Knox Community School Board Makes Adjustments to 2022-2023 School Calendar

The Knox Community School Board made some slight adjustments to the 2022-2023 school calendar last week.

Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart said the update had to do with legislature changes in the allowance of eLearning days .

“They’re limiting school districts across the state to three eLearning days,” explained Dr. Reichhart.  “We had two Professional Development days built into next year’s calendar as eLearning days so the teachers could do Professional Development and kids could still learn at home, but those have been taken away.  We feel that we need to save our three eLearning days for snow days.”

If the corporation uses more than three eLearning days as snow days next school year, those days will be made up at the end of the school year.  If the eLearning days are not needed, those eLearning opportunities would be used as Professional Development days with teachers in May of next year.
