Oregon-Davis High School Student to Participate in National Skills USA Competition

After placing second in the State Skills USA competition in Indianapolis in April, SCILL Center welding student, Jayden Moore from Oregon-Davis High School, will be competing in the Skills USA National Competition in Atlanta, Georgia June 20-24. 

According to information from the SCILL Center, this is the first time a SCILL student has participated in the national competition, despite multiple welding students and automotive technology students qualifying for state competition. 

Moore will be competing in the Welding Sculpture category with her own creation. 

In addition to advancing to the national competition, Moore received a $5,000 scholarship to Lincoln Tech.
