Candidates have yet to file for a vacated seat on the Pulaski County Council.
The seat was left vacant by Brian Young at the end of June. He served in that position as a Republican in District 3.
Pulaski County Clerk JoLynn Behny clarified that the seat is available to registered voters in Tippecanoe, Franklin, Rich Grove and Jefferson Townships to declare candidacy. Potential candidates must have pulled a Republican ballot in the past two Primary Elections.

The deadline to declare candidacy is Wednesday, July 20 at 11 a.m. ET. The Caucus will be held July 23.
