The Starke County Park Board discussed several aspects of Bass Lake Beach and looked at campground pricing and amenities compared to other campgrounds during their meeting last week.
The board recently voted for a price hike of $2,200 a year to $2,300 a year and is now looking into upgrading both the beach and the campground. Most campgrounds offer amenities such as full hook-up to electric and water, stores, pools, fishing ponds, splash pads and rec halls, game rooms and monthly activities. Bass Lake only offers electric and water hook up.
No decisions were made during the meeting. The topic will be included future discussions.
