A suspect is in custody after Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a call of an alleged masked man inside a woman’s home.
Deputies say they were notified of the incident January 24 and learned the suspect fled from the home with some of the homeowner’s possessions in a red pickup truck. The truck was later located and deputies attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect fled the scene, according to the report. Police say a pursuit led the suspect and police through the Winamac area.
The pursuit ended at the Braun Corporation factory where the suspect allegedly got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, but he was eventually apprehended.
The suspect’s name has not yet been released by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident remains under investigation.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
