The North Judson Town Council will meet in special session tonight to hear a report from Eric Walsh from Baker Tilly to discuss water and sewer financial management reports.
The council has previously discussed looking at water and sewer rates and how they compare with operations so Walsh will go over the information with the council.
The meeting will be held tonight at 5:30 p.m. CT at the North Judson Town Hall at 310 Lane Street.
In other North Judson town news, the 2023 Bloomer 5k Walk/Run has been set for May 6. Starting time will be 9 a.m. CT and will begin at the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum.
The town-wide clean-up day is set for Thursday, May 4 in coordination with Waste Management. Items that WILL NOT be picked up include auto parts, engines, tires, batteries, electronics, remodeling or construction material, chemicals, pesticides, paints, solvents, household hazardous waste, propane or gas tanks, ashes, fencing, concrete, bricks, dirt, rocks, sod, stumps, medical waste, or appliances that contain Freon. Anything else will be accepted. A complete list can be found on the town’s Facebook page. A reminder of the clean up day will also be printed on water bills.
Additionally, the Art Department will be hosting a festival at Norwayne Field coinciding with The Historical Society’s Cemetery Walk September 30. Live music, food, artisan and crafts will be a part of the event.
