Three people were injured in a Tuesday, April 25 traffic accident just before 11:30 a.m. CT at the intersection of State Road 23 and 50 S. in Starke County.
According to the Starke County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation found that a red 2018 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 78-year-old Francis Premrl of Knox was eastbound on 50 S. and continued through the intersection at State Road 23, allegedly failing to yield to posted stop signs at that intersection for eastbound and westbound traffic only. The vehicle struck a 2014 Toyota Rav4 driven by 69-year-old Brad Williams of Culver who was traveling north on State Road 23.
Two people were transported to area hospitals for treatment while another person was treated and released.
The accident remains under investigation with the Starke County Sheriff’s Office.
