Pulaski County Commissioners Discuss American Rescue Plan Act Funding

The Pulaski County Commissioners took time this week to discuss a plan for some of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.

Commission President Chuck Mellon suggested that ARPA funding be used as the Pulaski County Council makes decisions concerning salary proposals.  The commissioners expressed their wishes for that money to be used toward salary increases and benefits.

The commissioners unanimously approved a motion to allow the county to approve whatever funding they need to make payroll increases in the 2024 budget.

Sheriff Chris Schramm commended the commissioners for taking that step to help county employees.
