The Yellowstone Trail Fest begins Saturday at 9 a.m. CT at the Starke County Fairgrounds in Hamlet.
This year’s theme is “Bootlegging on the Yellowstone Trail”. A remote control racing experience will be featured throughout the weekend that mimics a chase when the “hooch” was discovered. A Bootleggin’ Pirates Side Show will also be available throughout the weekend. Laser tag and a bounce house will be featured both days, along with Speak Easy Escape Room, the Rendezvous display, pewter smelting demonstrations, and arts and crafts and food vendors.
The car swap set-up is Saturday at 6 a.m. with car swap shopping throughout the day and the car show from 10 a.m. to noon.
Music from Sentimental Journey will begin Saturday at noon CT, the men’s hammer toss at 1:30 p.m. in the horse arena, a women’s skillet toss at 2 p.m., the North Central Indiana Antique Tractor Pullers at 3 p.m., the pine car derby at 4:30 p.m., DJ Ed Ross at 6 p.m., the blind pig golf cart search at 6:30 p.m., and the fireworks show at the ball diamonds at dusk.
Sunday’s activities include a ventriloquist worship like the ‘20s event at 10:30 a.m., a trivia block search at 1 p.m., the parade leaves the Hamlet-Davis Township Fire Department at 1 p.m., and the silent auction of props bidding ends at 2:30 p.m. CT.
The Yellowstone Trail Fest comes to a close Sunday at 4 p.m. CT.
