The Knox Community School Board members adopted the 2024 budget, Capital Projects Plan, and Bus Replacement Plan during their meeting last week.
In the notice to taxpayers listing on the Indiana Gateway website, the Rainy Day Fund was advertised at $1.3 million, the Debt Service Fund at just over $2.9 million, the Education Fund at $13.8 million, and the Operations Fund at about $5.5 million. The total budget is $23,627,952.
The Capital Projects Plan includes expenditures over $10,000 over the next three years that address classroom, building and structure needs. The Bus Replacement Plan shows the replacement of two buses per year from 2024 through 2027.
The corporation will receive a 1728 notice in December when the budget has been approved by the Department of Local Government Finance.
