The Knox Community School Board members approved bond documents at their meeting Monday night.
Superintendent Greg Mikulich said funding from a $3.2 million General Obligation Bond will go toward projects at the Knox Middle School and Knox High School.
“We have two major projects that we have going on,” said Mikulich. “The air conditioning at the Middle School is being redone, and also we have some exterior work at High School that includes some paneling that needs to be replaced on the north side and the south side.”
There will be no change to the tax rate with the issuance of the bond.
The board approved the preliminary bond resolution and the reimbursement resolution as part of the bond process.
Mikulich said representatives from Larson Danielson also gave an update on the overall construction project of the vocational wing at the High School which is complete.
