The Knox Community School Board members received information about the bond process from representatives from Baker Tilly and Ice Miller during their meeting Tuesday night.
Superintendent Greg Mikulich said the board is looking to complete two major projects in the near future.
Mikulich stated, “We want to do the air conditioning at the Middle School, and the other one is the windows and siding that is on the front and the back of the High School. We have some different options based upon the quotes for those two. We could go with a $950,000 bond or we could go with a $2 million bond.”
He noted that the tax rate will remain neutral with the board’s decision to take out a bond. The board will make a formal decision in a future meeting.
