The Knox Community School Board members will open two public hearings tonight.
The Knox Community School Corporation and the Knox Federation of Teachers will open a public hearing to take public testimony and/or support regarding salaries and benefits for teachers at the corporation.
Following the conclusion of that public hearing, the regular meeting of the school board will begin at 6:30 p.m. CT.
The board will hear from Mrs. Matysak and her AP English students. The board will also hear from Baker Tilly and Ice Miller concerning the upcoming bond.
A public hearing will be opened to take public comments on the proposed 2024 budget, Capital Projects Plan and Bus Replacement Plan. The board plans to adopt all documents during the September 18 meeting.
In other business, the board will review the Administrative Handbook, the extracurricular financial reports for the 2022-2023 school year, the Jobs for America’s Graduates contract, and a qualified medical support position.
All meetings tonight will be held in the Redskin Room in the Knox Middle School at 901 S. Main Street.
