CSX Transportation officials plan to close State Road 39 at the railroad crossing between Young Rd and County Road W. 800 S. in La Porte County beginning on or after Monday, October 2.
State Road 39 will be closed for approximately two weeks in this location while CSX rebuilds the at-grade crossing.
Motorists should seek an alternate route. The official detour will follow U.S. 6, U.S. 35 and U.S. 30.
