The Starke County Election Board invites residents to witness the public test of voting machines for the upcoming November Municipal General Election.
The test will take place Wednesday, October 4 at 2 p.m. CT on the second floor of the Starke County Courthouse. Anyone can watch the process. Four machines will be tested to ensure proper procedure for the election.
If there is a voter who is unsure how to use a voting machine, an election official can review the process during the public test.
The machines will be zeroed out at the end of the process and a printout will be provided to show that the machine is properly set to zero and is ready for Election Day.
