The Knox Community School Board members opened a public hearing on an additional appropriation when they met Tuesday night.
Superintendent Greg Mikulich explained more about the hearing.
“This was our 1782 budget order,” said Mikulich. “We needed to set aside some funds to pay for the common school loan which is an old pension bond, and some textbook debt that we needed to adjust also.”
The additional appropriation resolution was for $66,149.
Mikulich also noted that Becky Despot was featured during the Champion moment.
He continued, “Becky Despot who is our elementary reading coach gave a great presentation about the data of our students and how they continue to grow throughout the school year. And then we also had a donation from Home Comfort Experts for our FFA Department. We thank them very much!”
The donation was for $500.
