Pulaski Memorial Hospital opened its new community pharmacy to the public last week.
The pharmacy storefront, located between the Emergency Department and the hallway to the Medical Office Building, will operate just like any other retail pharmacy.
Pulaski Memorial Hospital CEO Steve Jarosinski stated that hospital officials wanted to provide a more convenient pharmacy option for patients and residents. Jaroskinski stressed that those wanting to use the pharmacy do not have to be a patient of a Pulaski Memorial Hospital provider.
Patients can even switch their prescriptions to the hospital’s pharmacy before seeing their provider.
The new Community Pharmacy also has a drive-up window available for patients.
In addition to filling prescriptions, the pharmacy will also have a wide selection of over-the-counter medications.
Pulaski Memorial Hospital also unveiled a new prescription savings card. The card is available to everyone but is especially for those patients with no insurance or a high-deductible insurance plan.
With the Winamac pharmacy now open, the hospital is planning a satellite location in Francesville that is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2024.

The Community Pharmacy will be open seven days a week Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET. It will be closed every day from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET for lunch.
