Knox Community School Board Discusses Administrator Contracts, Rush Therapy MOU

The Knox Community School Board members discussed administrator contracts during their last meeting, according to Superintendent Greg Mikulich.

“Our administrators got a contract extension and a $2,000 salary raise,” said Mikulich.

He added that a Special Needs Paraprofessional is being sought to be shared with Knox, North Judson-San Pierre and Oregon-Davis Schools. The classroom is in Knox.

Mikulich said the board also approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Rush Therapy.

Mikulich added, “We don’t have a trainer, so they’re going to provide some support for our students. We’re very happy about that.”

During the Champion moment of the meeting, Emma Gillard was recognized as the 2024 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient for Starke County. Each Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship provides for full tuition, required fees and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years.
